2012 Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Professional Artist Development Grant http://www.arts.ri.gov _________________________________________________________________ 2011 Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Fellowship Award Drawing and Printmaking http://www.arts.ri.gov/individuals/fellowships11.php Sue McNally received her BFA from the University of Rhode Island and her MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work is in the permanent collections of Fidelity Investment Corporate Collection, Boston, MA, The Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, Providence, and the Newport Art Museum. She has been a resident artist at The Vermont Studio Center, Yaddo and most recently Ucross. The Drawing & Printmaking Fellowship Review Panel was unanimous and enthusiastic in their selection of this artist for the Fellowship Award. They loved her imagery and felt that, although autobiographical, it would feel relevant to any viewer. They described her as a great mark-maker who clearly draws constantly. They complimented her use of line as well as blank space and abstract form. They described her work as “fabulous” and “confident.”
